Winter Menu Week 3

Our winter menus are designed especially for children of all preschool ages and include all food nutrients necessary for a balanced development of their bodies during the colder time of the year. Also, the menu is optimized to the weather changes and combines many fruits and veggies.

 

Monday:

Morning Snack: Organic cheerios with raisins & milk
Lunch (catered by Food for Tots): WW Cheese Stuffed Tortellini and Tomato Sauce – WW Tortellini filled with Cheese and topped with Spinach Tomato Sauce and served with Winter Vegetables WW Bread. Fresh Seasonal Fruit.
Dinner: Porridge with fruits

Tuesday:

Morning Snack: Whole grain toast with cream cheese
Lunch (catered by Food for Tots): Homemade Chicken Vegetable Noodle Casserole – Homemade Chicken Vegetable Noodle Casserole made with Diced Chicken, Carrots, Peas in a Creamy Sauce with a slice of WW Bread. Fresh Seasonal Fruit.
Dinner: Buckwheat with sugar

Wednesday:

Morning Snack: Yogurt with crackers
Lunch (catered by Food for Tots): Chicken Breast Sandwich and Tomato Soup – WG Chicken Breast Sandwich served with a Bowl of Tomato Alphabet Soup and Fresh Cucumber Slices. Fresh Seasonal Fruit.
Dinner: Perogies with cheese

Thursday:

Morning Snack: Whole wheat bagel with cheese and milk
Lunch (catered by Food for Tots): Cod Nuggets and Tartar Sauce – Baked Cod Nuggets and Diced Country Style Potatoes served with Diced Carrots and WW Bread. Fresh Seasonal Fruit.
Dinner: Barley porridge with sugar

Friday:

Morning Snack: Organic cereal & milk
Lunch (catered by Food for Tots): Slow Cooked Beef Pot Roast – Slow cooked Beef Pot Roast with gravy served with Mashed Potatoes, Corn Niblets and WW Roll. Fresh Seasonal Fruit.
Dinner: Yogurt with banana loaf

Fresh Seasonal Fruits and Vegetables may vary and include: apple, banana, grapes, pears, strawberries, melons (water, cantaloupe, & musk), plums, nectarines, mango and vegetables may vary due to seasonal availability.

Beverages: We serve homo 3.25% milk, selection of juices, and spring water.

All Lunches are Trans fat-free (except for naturally occurring Trans fats).
